Ganguly’s much talked about team has not at all proved their skills in the ILP seasons. In the first edition, they just finished sixth and then in the other edition, they were bottom after they managed hard to win at least 3 out of 14 matches.
Some people blame the different captaincy to be the reason behind their failure while other believe that the rift between Sourav Ganguly and John Buchanan for their bad performance in both the editions of IPL.
This time, Shah Rukh Khan, the co owner of the team has taken step to make all things clear. After giving Buchanan a boot, he has roped in the famous coach Dave Whatmore along with appointing the legendary Wasim Akram.
The Kolkata Knight Riders aficionados are now hoping to watch where this new combination can prove to be a success or not. Whatmore is also looking forward to some new faces in the third edition.
